Sustainable Calne is working on improving the appearance of the Stokes Croft play area. This project was conceived and inspired by Rebecca Timmins, a resident of Stokes Croft, and who has been involved in the project from the outset.
Tree Planting
We are working with Calne Town Council and residents of Stokes Croft to plant semi-mature trees around the play area to provide shade and improve the appearance of the area.
Project Progress
We have commissioned and received aerial imaging of the play area to aid in planning the development.
Our volunteers have been working to identify and source appropriate trees for planting and contractors to plant the trees.
We have been in regular contact with Calne Town Council about the project. Once suppliers and planters have been agreed, we will bid for funds to plant the trees.
